the best. a date or a meeting with a friend on one. The four sisters is an intimate but unpretentious cocktailbar with high ceilings, underlying lighting, an evil signature menu and gentle jazz, which accelerates in the time as the evening progresses. I loved this place and recommend it very much! Drinks are all made with natural ingredients such as homemade infusions, syrups and shrubs. I tried three things: first the geisha: a mix of vodka, champagne, dullflower liqueur, hibiscus syrup and fresh grapefruit, served with a cherry in a hibiscus blossom and it was extremely delicious. exotic, flowery and fruity. dangerous of all. second, a walkerbread, that was christmas perfection in a cocktail when I ever saw. this recipe serves one: 40 ml martel V.S cognac, 20 ml grand marnier, 20 ml lemon juice, 15 ml gingerbread sirup. delicious. Finally a twist on an old-fashioned: around instead of roggen whisky, served with chocolate syrup and bitter. they would be hard pressed to find a better combination than chocolate and orange in my book, so I enjoyed this immensely, it was a refined drink, full of taste. The four sisters is just five minutes to foot from highbury and islington and 15 minutes from angel station and if they don't want to splurge, they will like to know that there is a daily happy hour from 4pm to 7pm with two cocktails for £10!
