Highly recommend Anfora restaurant. We visited for the first time on Saturday and were very impressed indeed. The food was top notch, well presented and couldn't fault. Top marks go to our waitress, who explained the history of the dining room, talked through the food choices and recommendations, and just made you feel welcome sorry I cant remember your name! A must visit, and a definite return.......thanks and good luck.

I always get the pancakes with speck and maple syrup when I eat here, tastes so good and is a beautiful big part! the first time I tried that the pancakes were still in the middle slightly raw (they are thick pancakes,) but every other time they were perfect! great for lunch or breakfast and beautiful and bright inside

I was invited by craig and felicity in the smokehouse of reekie to see what it was about. I had no hesitating statement, yes, since this place had already been one on my 'must try' list. on the holyrood road, a stone's throw from the royal mile, this place is easy to reach from the center and has been open for about 18 months. craig and felicity were welcoming, but one could see that this was not just for my use. it was clear that they had an enthusiasm, both with regular and tourist alike.

Spent a night here and wish it was more. Beautiful hotel in a great location. Our room was very spacious. The brasserie is so quaint and the breakfast was fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by all the lovely staff. I would definitely go back!
